Medellin - Jardin - Salamina - Hot springs in Manizales - Murillo - San Miguel - Doradal - Guatape - Medellin
70% paved / 30% off-road

Join us on a 6-day motorcycle expedition through Colombia’s legendary coffee region — a land of misty mountains, emerald valleys, and vibrant culture. From the colonial charm of hidden villages to the raw beauty of high-altitude trails and thermal springs, Coffee Riders is not just a tour — it’s a journey into the heart of adventure. Ride across Los Nevados National Natural Park, reaching elevations of 4,100 meters above sea level.

Day 1 Medellin - Jardin (4 hours ride + stops)

We kick off our adventure riding out of Medellín toward Jericó — a stunning 2.5-hour ride through winding mountain roads into one of Colombia’s most picturesque colonial towns. After a scenic lunch stop surrounded by colorful balconies and vibrant culture, we head deeper into the Andes, tackling rugged off-road trails (70%) en route to Jardín. There, the day slows down as we sip freshly brewed coffee, watching the sun set over lush mountain ridges — the perfect welcome to the journey ahead.

Day 2 Jardin - Salamina (5.5 hours + 1.5 hours optional)
After a delightful breakfast, we’ll set off from Jardín towards Riosucio, winding through the mountains for about 2 hours and 30 minutes on unpaved roads. As we journey through the stunning landscapes of the coffee region, we’ll reach Salamina, where we'll leave our luggage and enjoy lunch in this charming town. After the meal, we’ll make our way to Valle de la Samaria, where we’ll spend 45 minutes in awe of its towering wax palms, the tallest in the world. We’ll take in the serene beauty of the valley before returning to Salamina to relax for the night

Day 3 Salamina - Hot springs - Murillo (5.5 hours)
On our third day, we’ll head to the hot springs in Manizales (2 hours 40 minutes on paved roads), where we’ll unwind with a relaxing bath and enjoy a delicious lunch. Afterward, we’ll make our way to the cool area of Murillo, surrounded by breathtaking páramo landscapes in Parque Natural Los Nevados, experiencing a dramatic shift in both climate and temperature (2 hours 20 minutes).

Day 4 Murillo - San Miguel (5 hours ride + stops)
On our fourth day, departing from the chilly climate of Murillo, we’ll ride to Mariquita (2 hours), a charming town where we’ll take a break before continuing on to Victoria (1 hour), a beautiful, remote village for lunch. To wrap up the day, we’ll make our way to a secluded finca for a 2-hour ride (50% paved, 50% unpaved) towards San Miguel, where we’ll unwind and connect with nature for the rest of the day.

Day 5 San Miguel - Doradal (2 hours ride)
We’ll wake up in the heart of nature, surrounded by rivers and waterfalls. If the weather allows, we’ll enjoy the refreshing river and waterfalls. This is our rest day, where we’ll unwind and soak in the peaceful surroundings. Later, around midday, we’ll ride off-road to reach Doradal, where we’ll take a walk through the stunning El Santorini Colombiano.

Day 6 Doradal - Guatape - Medellin (5.5 hours ride + stops)

We’ll hit the road for a super fun ride along paved, curvy mountain roads with (hopefully) light traffic — just enough off-road to keep things exciting. Our destination is Guatapé, a colourful lakeside town famous for its vibrant streets, scenic reservoir, and the iconic El Peñol rock. We’ll climb to the top of this massive granite monolith for breathtaking views, enjoy a well-earned lunch, and then ride back to Medellín to wrap up our unforgettable journey.
